Halloween 2010 - Experimenting with Animoto

Create your own video slideshow at animoto.com.

Week 7 (Thing 14 &15)

I loved Animoto!!! I have created a personal movie with Halloween pics and have a great idea for school, with the Knox Expectations. Just concerned about how to play it in school. The computers are not compatible for the graphics. Any suggestions?????

Week 6 (Thing 11,12&13)

Photobucket is  more user friendly than Flickr. This is very useful for visual learners. The more pics to associate with topics - the better for those students.

Week 5 ( Thing 9& Thing 10)

The wesite http://www.commoncraft.com/rss_plain_english was very informative not only about RSS feeds, but about WIKIS too! I have added some RSS feeds to my google reader account, mainly personal uses. Hopefully, as time goes by there will be ones to use in the classroom.  ryw40

Week 4 (Thing 7 & Thing 8 )

Exploring the WIKIS gave me alot of ideas for my students, but also as a parent. It would be nice to be able to see what your children are working on in school. Also, using a WIKI for classrooms to expand on projects or as a central sharing of information used to study for tests.

Week 3 (Thing 5&6)

While exploring the world of educational blogs, I found many interesting things. Some things that I will  incorporate into my  ELA and Math AIS classes are from Creating Lifelonglearners Blog http://www.needleworkspictures.com/ocr/blog   and from Mathematics Learning Blog  http://mathematicslearning.blogspot.com/.  Creative Lifelonglearners had a section about Daily Language Review which gave the link to Amazon.com to purchase the books. Mathematics Learning had a link to  http://www.ixl.com/ that students will be able to work on specific problem sets targeted to a specific grade level and skill. I will be starting both of these this week. More info on its success or failure to follow.
